A Tiger and A Snake

Check out this work by Leo Oliveto. It's pretty spot on for 3-D animation. I love it!

Touch, Do Not.

I've been searching for all the fun stuff coming out soon for Star Wars Rebels. I hope it be as entertaining as The Clone Wars. There are a lot of images and videos from the Toy Fair 2014 that happened back in February. What can I say? I'm late to the party.

So yesterday as I was surfing around, I was watching this video about the action figures that will be released. On each of the displays were signs that read, "Please Do Not Touch". There's always one geek who thinks he's exempt from that rule. And no, it was not me. I think it's hilarious it was caught on video.

To see the entire video, click here. The scene where I pulled this image is about 2:13 into the 2:31 video. Yes, that means it's toward the end.

Not only am I excited about the Rebels merch, but I love the two new pieces coming out in Star Wars: The Black Series. Both are excellent ways to relive Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi. I really have to consider getting both the Biker Scout and Jabba the Hutt.

Should I pre-order these two pieces through Entertainment Earth? They are due to be released in August.

An Interest in Pinterest

Yesterday I received an email from Pinterest saying they were reaching out to me as being a 'top Pinner' on their site. I'm sure everyone received this email, because I know there are people who are way more over the top pinning than I am.

So this morning I clicked on the link to find out more about what they are offering. I thought it would be a new feature like when we beta tested the secret boards that debuted last year. But instead, it appears Pinterest is setting up a community that will be helping out other Pinners. It could be similar to the Best Buy focus group to which I belong.

I like the idea and it looks like more to come soon.

Don't Get Frozen Out of GJS' Newest Pieces!

You'd have to been on a remote island or deep in space if you haven't been swept up in the Frozen craze. I'll probably get shot for admitting this, but it actually wasn't one of my favorite Disney movies. In fact, I was more impressed with Get a Horse, the Disney short that ran as a preview, than I was about the main event. Of course I loved the music and the artwork.

So being the total hypocrite, I, like the rest of the world, love Elsa. And now, Grand Jester Studios (GJS) is getting ready to release the two newest princesses to be added to the Disney line-up.

You can read more about the pieces at my friend's site, Duckman's Blog. June has been the month for GJS releasese! (See my June 4th post about Figment)

But take a look at Anna and Elsa. I think they look fantastic!

Luke at This

I'm going to do my best not to go hog wild with all the Star Wars Episode VII posts, but this picture is too good to pass up. Here's a picture of two Jedi, and it appears that Luke will be sporting a beard in the up-coming series. That's okay by me!

Now, All the World is Figment’s Stage!

Perfection! Disney, and Grand Jester Studios (GJS), are celebrating the 450th birthday of William Shakespeare. What better way to do so than to have the master of role play portray Hamlet?

Once again, Figment is honored with a limited edition GJS sculpture that will be released on June 28, 2014. You can read more details on Duckman's Blog or head over to the Art of Disney and link to Disney Theme Park Event Merchandise to order your Figment. Of course I've already pre-ordered mine! He's going to look great with last year's piece, Magician Figment.
