Not The Way I Wanted to Spend the 13th
I'm not really superstitions. However, I am stupid. For some personal reasons, I quit taking my medications. The result? A few seizures, scaring family and friends, and winning a trip to the hospital. Sorry, no pictures with this post, but I will tell you this: take your medications. That is all.

May The 4th Be With You
It's the day every Star Wars geek loves to celebrate!
I even had a special friend stop by to help celebrate.

New State, New Adventures
After driving through ice, snow, rain, and the bitter cold overnight for 13 hours (because I took quick naps at rest stops) with all my earthly possessions in tow, I made it to Colorado! Mom and Dad were with me on the dashboard, as well as their Disney Spirits. And speaking of spirits, Obi-Wan was there, too. You should be able to see the Colorful Colorado sign that welcomed me to my new state.

Tell Everybody I'm On My Way
"On My Way" by Phil Collins from Disney's 'Brother Bear'
Tell everybody I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
With blue skies ahead yes
I'm on my way
And there's nowhere else
that I'd rather be
New friends and new places to see
With blue skies ahead yes
I'm on my way
And there's nowhere else
that I'd rather be
After 24 years of living in Minnesota, it's time to say good-bye. I'm on my way to a new life and new future in Colorado. I don't know what's in store for me, but I'm looking forward to adding new chapters to my life and new experiences. It's scary and exciting at the same time.

Remember Me
"Remember
Me" from Disney's 'Coco'
Remember me
Though I have to say goodbye
Remember me
Don't let it make you cry
For ever if I'm far away
I hold you in my heart
I sing a secret song to you
Each night we are apart
Remember me
Though I have to travel far
Remember me
I was so excited that I was able to be at Disney's California Adventure as they celebrated DÃa de los Muertos for the first time. They had a beautiful Tree of Life, where I was able to honor my Mom and Dad. I sure hope Disney continues this event. Mom and Dad loved coming to Disneyland, and I was able to Remember Them at the Tree of Life.

Hitting the Bottle
My new bottle stoppers arrived today, and I think they are fantastic!
I've been working with Rory, from Floating Water. He has a shop on Etsy. I found something really cool, if not a little morbid, for Star Wars fans. Rory makes bottle stoppers out of Star Wars figures!
After some back-and-forth messaging, I asked if he could also make a custom stopper for me, and he said he could. So besides ordering Luke, I asked Rory to make another bottle stopper for me.
Some of you may recognize the irony of why I asked him to make me a Darth Maul stopper. Rory has to cut the figures in half in order to make the stopper. Which other Star Wars character deserves to be cut in half, especially since he was cut in half? Sadly, when I asked if he could take Maul's legs and make a matching topper, Rory said he couldn't because the legs are too narrow.
Luke is pretty cool, too.
So head over to Floating Water on Etsy and order yours today!

The Science Behind Pixar
I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Science Museum of Minnesota for an open house.
I invited my friend, Sara, to be my date, and we enjoyed a wonderful evening! They wined and dined us with some amazing food. How about a mac and cheese bar, complete with all the toppings? Why haven't I thought of that before? The carved beef was great, too, but Sara enjoyed the dessert bar. Thanks to Lancer Catering for all the tasty morsels!
Once our tummies were filled with good food and drink, it was time for the Science Behind Pixar exhibit. Don't tell anyone, but this was the main reason Sara and I attended this open house! We had an absolute blast! We could have stayed all night long. The interactive exhibits not only were fun, but they were educational. We saw both adults and kids having the time of their lives. And that's how it should be. Learning can be fun, even if it involves math!
If this touring exhibit comes to your town, be sure to catch it. I wish I had time to go see it again. And don't forget to bring your wallets so you can hit the gift shops!
