Today I went to Khan's Mongolian BBQ with some friends for lunch. I told them there's a plan of attack when you go to a Mongolian BBQ. You actually want to start backwards with the vegetables first and then add the frozen meat. Otherwise, you can't maximize you bowl space for the amount of food you can pile in it.
They know it, but I cracked the code.
Oh, and some would disagree with my fortune, but only if you add those few choice words at the end of a fortune.

D24
Happy anniversary to my dear friend, Mike, who is celebrating his 24th anniversary today with the Walt Disney Company! That's quite an accomplishment!
The picture below was taken back in 2005, and we asked Sulley if a different "Mike" could take a picture with him. You can see Sulley laughing.
Congrats Mike!!!

Disney Babes
I don't think I can fit anymore ladies on my Disney Babes shelf, but I love my latest additions of Cinderella and Rapunzel.

Let the Games Begin!
Well, it's that glorious time again, when the Summer Olympics are bringing the world together. This is also where I lose all productivity for 14 days. Sadly, my 30th high school reunion falls in the midst of the Games, so thank goodness for social media!
As usual, I have a few friends over to watch the Opening Ceremonies and have a great time. I wish I had more time to go all out like I did with the Beijing Games, but let's face it: British cuisine isn't at the top of the culinary list. Having said that, below are some of the items we shared last night. Too bad I couldn't have most of it, but we had fun anyway!

Could I have any more British food stereotypes? |

Top 100 Disney Store Contributor
Most people who know me know how much I love to shop. Add Disney and Walt Disney Classics Collection pieces on top of that, and well, I'm in Heaven.
I've purchased so much from and reviewed Disney Store merchandise, I'm a Top 100 Contributor. No, really! I hope to make it in the Top 10 some day. That will require a lot more shopping!
See this review and more here.

Dongle
When a phone vendor used the word "Dongle" in our company-wide meeting to a bunch of non-tech people, I merely commented, "It's not what you think." I was later reprimanded and now we can't say that word. We have to call it a "USB Wireless Networking Device."
Really, people. I think you have bigger fish to fry, like refraining from dropping the F-bomb at work or cleaning your office that looks like a paper mill exploded. I think I'll be using a Speak & Spell in our next meeting.

How Grand!
So I'm a little late to this game, but only because I am a passionate Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC) collector. However, may of the same sculptors of WDCC are doing these Grand Jester Studio busts. I'm so glad my friend Kenneth twisted my arm and sold me my first piece, which is this Sorcerer Mickey piece. The detail is fantastic!
Mickey was sculpted by Rubin Procopio, whose WDCC work includes Sorcerer Mickey, Edna Mode, and Maleficent, to name a few. Below are pictures of the concept art and the finished production piece. I'm certainly adding more Grand Jester Studios busts to my collection, because they compliment my WDCC collection!

Flashdance?
Okay. I have a bad habit of taking pictures of people and posting them on my Facebook page. I know it's not nice, but I can't help myself. Sharon and I went to Subway to grab a sandwich to bring back to work, when I saw this Flashdance wannabe. I didn't realize until I got back to work and looked at the picture that I got caught in the act this time around. Click on the picture to get a better look at his reaction.

Fire in the Hole
Last night, I got up around 12:30 AM to potty, and when I looked out the window only to see fire trucks. I got myself dressed, went downstairs and outside, only to see the entire street filled with all sorts of emergency vehicles! There were at least 20 of them up and down the street. People were standing around everywhere and while I couldn't see any flames, I sure smelled smoke.
In the morning on the way to the bus stop, I could see the front lawn of my condo covered in ash. There were more cars parked in the street than usual, and then I noticed people sleeping in their cars. My bus stop is just outside of this apartment unit, and on the news, we found out this fire burned at least two or three units, and 100 people were evacuated. Below are pictures of the burned out units.
